Alright, so here’s the dealio … I HAVE started working with Nick. He is kicking my butt on a regular basis. I AM going to write more and let you all in on all grunts, grumbles and groans. I wake up every single day with that intent, but it seems the road to hell truly IS paved with the best of intentions. I am, like, halfway to hell already …
I haven’t been dealing well with the intricacies of school being out and my son being home interrupting me. My writer’s block on the book is fairly well documented. I have, in fact, figured out where I am going next with it, I just haven’t figured out how to sit down and actually do the writing.
I have an office that I need to clean out (the family office has been overtaken by one preteen and his need for computer games) and utilize. It is officially our spare bedroom, but it has a lovely desk, great light, a stereo … and a million boxes and junk on the floor, some ready for trash, others filled with clothes for the garage sale we never manage to have. I told myself that it will take an hour tops to clean it out and I can officially go in and close the door for several hours a day to get work done.
Yeah, finding that one hour has been the roadblock. I will do it today, though. It is happening TODAY! I’m also going to have a one day garage sale this Friday as all this stuff I have been hoarding for such a time as that … is getting annoying. Sell it or donate it, but no longer trip on it.
Back to the melting bit …
I work with Nick on Monday’s (today, yay) and I leave in a quivering puddle of sweat. He sends me home with a fantastic homework plan. I have been “OK” about finishing all of it, but this week I start being “PERFECT” about finishing it. Here’s my weekly plan, written in stone and not to be messed with:
MONDAY: 11:00am Nick; 7:00pm walk the dogs
TUESDAY: 10:00am walk the dogs (this is active rest day)
WEDNESDAY: 10:00am Nick homework @ the gym; 7:00pm walk the dogs
THURSDAY: 10:00am Kettlebell & Boxing with Coach Dom; 7:00pm walk the dogs
FRIDAY: 7:00pm walk the dogs (this is active rest day)
SATURDAY: 11:00am Nick Homework at the Gym; Short walk with dogs depending on avail.
SUNDAY: 8:30am Yoga (Power Vinyasa Basics class); Long leisurely walk with dogs
Ok, looks good … that’s the plan.
Food, I started off spectacular. I was eating on plan, small meals, small snacks, clean food. Then Independence Day festivities crept in, weekend plans messed things up, my husband traveled for work, so less inclined to cook whole meals for my son and I … basically, fell off track. Getting back on today … (normally this would go on the other blog, but as I am here, I am putting it here …)
Breakfast: 1/2 cup Gluten Free (GF) Granola, 3/4 cup 1% organic milk, 2 cups coffee, black
Mid-Morning Snack: whey protein shake with almond milk
Lunch: salad (lettuce, cucumber, tomato, onion) with grilled chicken, feta & kalamata olives, my vinaigrette dressing.
Mid-Afternoon Snack: 1/4 avocado, mashed, on (1) rice cake
Supper: GF pasta with tomatoes & basil, grilled turkey sausage
Evening Snack (if hungry, skip otherwise): 1/2 cup cottage cheese mixed with mandarin oranges.
I’m not allowed to weigh myself yet, so I can’t tell you what I have lost. But I can say that I feel looser, a bit lighter. Not as drastic as I would like, but hopefully this week will remedy that.
